M Audio Microtrack 2 Digital Recorder

SanDisk Compact Flash 4 GB CF card (memory Expansion)
M Audio Microtrack 2 has been completely re-designed to bring even more professional features to the original high-fidelity mobile digital recorder.
The input gain range has been extended, the analog input limiter was added, 48V phantom power is present, the file tranfer rate has been increased, recordings with file sizes that go beyond 2 GigaBytes and many other enhancements.
M Audio Microtrack 2 delivers one of the highest quality mobile recording experience available today. WAV and MP3 files can be recorded to CompactFlash and Microdrives through balanced line inputs or built-in microphone preamps.
Recordings can easily be transfered to your computer via USB 2.0 . MicroTrack 2 is suitable for many applications such as field recording, interviews, the capturing of live shows, songwriting, education etc....

Microtrack 2 Features:
- extended input gain range
- analog input limiter
- 48V phantom power
- faster data transfer rate via USB 2.0
- add markers to BWF files
- monitor S/PDIF input via headphones during recording
- recording of files bigger than 2GB
- customizable folders for easy file organizing
- CompactFlash speed test
- backlight dimmer

M Audio Microtrack 2 writes the recorded material to Compact Flash memory cards or microdrives.Microtrack 2
is equiped with 2 high-quality microphone pre-amps, Line level analog inputs, an S/PDIF coaxial (RCA) input, analog Line level (RCA) and headphone (mini-jack) outputs, phantom power for microphones and separate input level controls for each channel.
It has a USB 2.0 interface, and commes with a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
The recordings are made in uncompressed WAV and BWF files , both 16- and 24-bit formats at sample rates from 32 to 96 KS/s. It can also record MP3 files at 96 to 320 kbps. While recording it allows monitoring via headphones and the Line outputs.
What's improved? A limiter has been added to the Microtrack 2 to keep control over the input signal so distortion from unexpectedly loud sounds will be eliminated. There is no need to worry about losing any data when the filesize reaches the maximum of 2 GB. Microtrack 2 creates a new file and continues to record. The microphone pre-amp has been giving a wider range of loudness without any distortion or overload. The incomming signal can be monitored over headphones so you'll always have full control over what you're recording. The Phantom power supply offers 48Volts.
