Nord Electro 3
The new Electro 3 comes with a brand new organ section, new piano section, new effects and the possibillity to use all the samples from the Nord Sample library. This is a keyboard that makes every musician shiver.

Electro 3 has a huge piano section. There are three acoustic grand pianos (two Yamaha C7s and one Steinway D) and two electric grands. Tine-based types; a Mk I, a Suitcase Mk I, a Mk II and a Mk V . The Wurlitzer A200 and the Clavinet D6 also are present.
Only the B-3 and the combo organ sounds are modular, all the other sounds are sample playback.Compared to the Electro 2,Electro 3 has expanded memory, possibillity to load the Nord Stage piano sounds, the tonewheel organ sounds are improved and the effect section has been expanded.
You can add virtually any sound you want to the Nord Electro 3. Free sounds that are offered are from the Mellotron Library or any other instrument from the expanding and extensive Nord Sample Library, they are in the same format as the Nord Wave uses.
With the free Nord Sample Editor, any sounds you want can be added to the Electro 3. The format that the Sample editor uses is .wav and with the provided tools you can shape the sounds in any form you like. It has never been easier to create loops or to map several samples across the keyboard.
The Nord Electro 3 comes with a huge selection of high quality effects including a great sounding reverb with five different algorithms. There is also a selection of tremolo, panning, wah-wah, phaser, flanger and chorus effects, and a ring modulator. In the effect section there are also three amplifier simulations present. These come in handy for shaping the final sounds, to add distortion or grid.If that's all not good enough, the sounds can be routed through a 3Band EQ with a mid-range that's sweepable and a compressor.
Electro 3 has got a sample memory of 68 MB and the high efficient lossless compression algorithm makes it possible to use samples of up to three times the size compared to a standard linear sample player. The samples are automatically encoded within the Nord Sample Editor and decoded back in realtime when played on the keyboard. This way the important character of a sound can be preserved, without having to compromise in quality.

Organ Section:
Each element of the B3 has been regarded and analyzed in exceptional fine detail, in making the Electro 3 as true as possible. You will find key clicks derived from the unique busbar behavior and also the power robbing that produces the gentle compression whenever you do that substantial palm smear throughout the keyboard. To obtain the reaction correct, we now have integrated the option to trigger the organ sounds at the top of the key's range, which makes it respond as quick as the real thing. And from time to time we could not withstand including functions that went a lttle bit further, such as the option to either include or exclude the 9th drawbar when Percussion was activated.
The Farfisa* and Vox* models are just as remarkable as the B3. The substantial savage noise produced by their 12-top oscillator frequency-divider designs is obviously also a nosample zone within the Electro three; you will have the same tendencies and distinctive response from our models as within the original devices. The Farfisa Compact Deluxe, regarded by numerous to be the mother of transistor organs, involves routing matrixes and complex filter combinations that provide a tailored noise with substantial power and high-end.
The Vox* Continental's brute design brings you a hollow tone, but having a really intense character. Both these transistor organs have their own distinctive, irreplaceable personalities. Combine them with any from the Electro 3's speaker simulations, add some distortion, adjust the EQ and they will certainly get you any organ gig with flying colors.
Organ split:
Utilizing the Organ Split mode, you are able to play two various organ registrations inside a dual manual fashion, 1 sounds on both sides of the user definable keyboard split position. Connect a second MIDI keyboard towards the Electro three, to use the organ split functionality, but inside a true, dual manual setup.
The rotary speaker emulator originates from the award winning Nord C1 Combo Organ, with its acclaimed high quality sounds. This rotary speaker emulator features the acoustic variations that occur when a physical speaker spreads the sound inside a room, providing the full experience of when the air is moved around.

I've been playing a lot of rock and soul and R&B organ for the last 40 years. I have to say , the Electro 3 has one of the best organ sounds I ever played!! The B3 organ sounds on this synth can purr and shimmer like a brand new one or it can growl and scream . The Lesie simulation is just about perfect! Some other great sounds: Wurlitzer and Rhodes EP's and a Hohner Clavinet many more great samples of everything from pipe organs to acoustic pianos to Celtic Harps to string sections! The Vintage organ sounds are also very realisticThis thing is almost perfect at what it does!

I'm the proud owner of a Nord Electro 3 73 Stage Piano for about one week now and I must say that this thing really impressed me so far.First I started looking for an affordable digital piano that also had good vintage sounds.I came accros a Nord Electro 3 in a music store and tried it....bam.....I was sold right a way . The B3 organ sounds rich and is amazingly accurate. The Piano sounds are also pretty good comming from a synth. One thing I like most is the fact that all sounds can be manipulated.
